The honest frame
Betting is entertainment with a cost, not an income plan. Every price you see includes the book’s margin. No pick, sample, or streak, ours included, makes an outcome certain. Never stake money you cannot afford to lose, and never chase losses.
Ground rules worth keeping
- Decide what a month of betting may cost you before the month starts.
- Never bet to win back a loss. That is how small losses become large ones.
- Time matters like money: if it stops being fun, stop.
- Betting is for adults only: 21+ in most U.S. states, 18+ in some. Know your state’s rules, and only bet where it’s legal.

- ncpgambling.org, the National Council on Problem Gambling.
- Most sportsbooks offer deposit limits, timeouts, and self-exclusion in their own settings. They work; use them.
